We're looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our streetlighting team based in Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham. All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.

Hours: Permanent, full time, 45 hours per week
Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 depending on experience and qualifications

What will you be responsible for?
As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you'll be working within the streetlighting team, supporting them in delivering high-quality infrastructure maintenance. Your day to day will include:
- Undertaking excavations in various materials within footpaths, including track work and joint holes
- Assisting with backfill and reinstatement of excavations to meet quality standards
- Completing documentation to comply with health & safety and NERS requirements
- Supporting the team in various tasks, such as serving as safety assistant for live LV cable jointers
- Driving works vehicles and adhering to HSG47 safety protocols
