We're looking for a Senior Engineer to join our regional build team based in Southampton. Hours: 40 hours per week

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Engineer, you'll be working in the Construction team, supporting them in the day-to-day planning management and delivery of structures work instructed through the Condition inspections contract and HMPF maintenance contract. Works will vary from inspection/works programming, planning, sub-contractor co-ordination and delivery within the structure's portfolio.

You will be:

  • Working closely with the Contracts Manager, Programme Manager and other project engineers planning works/inspections and completing within the determined time frame and also within the constraints of the contract to meet KPI's.
  • Providing technical briefings to staff prior to works commencing.
  • Providing updated programs to the Contracts Manager and attending internal and client meetings, attending internal and external planning update meetings for Inspections and ordered maintenance, collaborating with inspectors and engineers to update project programs.
  • Date to date programme monitoring using information via emails or information from meetings ensuring EWN's and CE's are captured, identifying which activities are critical to successful delivery, keeping schemes registers up to date with information issued from client.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPI's) relevant to schemes delivery, checking Maximo for task requests/orders from client, monitor against annual allocation and report monthly updates, developing design & build delivery programs for acceptance by client(s).
  • Tracking programs to ensure health and safety files are completed as per program and issuing physical/scheme completion certificates as required, reviewing sub-contractor RAMs checking health and safety documentation meets Kier Groups minimum standards.

  • You hold a HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering and SMSTS or SSSTS.
  • Can demonstrate traffic Management/highway's environment/Rail and London underground experience.
  • Are able to multitask and manage a portfolio of schemes/projects and hold a full driving licence to visit depots/sites.
