We're looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to join our Transportation team based in Brixworth. This is for our highly esteemed contract supporting North & West Northamptonshire council roads network. What will you be responsible for?
\\n
As a Senior Delivery Manager, you'll be working within the Major Projects team, supporting them in delivering major projects, across West Northamptonshire and North Northamptonshire councils, working with supply chain partners and stakeholders ensuring ownership in accordance with policies and requirements of the client. You will be collaborating with the senior management team and wider teams, providing a seamless service across regions. Partnering with stakeholders, generating future projects, further developing the existing Northamptonshire contracts.

Your day to day will include:

- Leading on the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of major highways projects, developing and designing comprehensive project plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timelines, ensuring alignment of project objectives with organisational goals and client requirement, actively identifying future funding opportunities along with future pipelining of projects within highways and the wider local authority teams
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders including clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams, facilitating regular communication and reporting to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues, overseeing project budgets, controlling costs, delivering projects within financial constraints. preparing and presenting financial reports and forecasts to senior leaders, identifying and managing project funding sources and allocation, recognising potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies
- Monitoring and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal impact on project delivery, conducting regular risk assessments and updating risk management plans as necessary
- Steering and mentoring a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff, assigning responsibilities confirming team members are aligning with project goals, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and adherence to best practices, making sure all project deliverables are meeting the highest standards of quality and complying with relevant regulations and standards
- Implementing and overseeing quality control processes and procedures, conducting regular project reviews and audits guaranteeing compliance with project specifications and standards, checking project activities are complying with legal, regulatory, and safety requirements, advocating a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all project activities

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent professional qualification, proven ability in leading on large, complex projects with budgets exceeding £5m, demonstrate great knowledge in highways engineering principles and construction practices
- Are able to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively and also influence, negotiate, and manage stakeholder relationships effectively
