We're looking for a MEICA Operations Manager to join our Thames Water team, overseeing delivery of MEICA scopes on infrastructure and non-infra water and wastewater assets.
Location: across sites at Harpenden, Hertfordshire and East Hyde, Bedfordshire
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know
Responsibilities
Working on Water and Wastewater capital projects across the Thames Water patch, you'll work alongside a Senior Project Manager in overseeing the successful delivery of MEICA scopes through all project stages—from design to handover—across multiple integrated schemes involving the installation and upgrading of treatment and distribution assets. Your day to day will include:
- Day-to-day management and technical support to the MEICA team as required.
- Supporting the selection of Mechanical & Electrical supply chain partners and package scope items, applying sound technical and commercial judgment.
- Taking accountability for the design integration of M&E package plants and associated control and automation systems.
- Promoting collaborative planning with clients and suppliers to maintain a shared focus on key outputs and deliverables, escalating issues appropriately as risks arise.
- Carrying out line management duties for Project Engineers, Commissioning Engineers, and Mechanical or Electrical Supervisors.
What are we looking for?
This Operations Manager is great for you if you have:
- Proven industry experience – ideally including Water/Wastewater.
- Good working knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes, systems, and typical M&E plant/equipment.
- Experience acting as a Tier 1 Electrical Authorising Engineer and acting as a Tier 1 DSEAR Lead.
- BEng/ONC/HNC qualified Electrical or Mechanical engineer and technically competent in both Mechanical and/or Electrical disciplines.
- Proven people and project management skills.
