We're looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Transportation team based in Fareham, Hampshire. All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying. Contract: Permanent, full time 39 hours per week
Salary: £12.60- £15.34 per hour
Responsibilities
- Carry out highways maintenance duties as instructed, including winter maintenance when appropriate.
- Respond promptly to incidents on the network as instructed.
- Contribute to the promotion of customer care by working closely with team members to ensure client and network users are dealt with in a polite and courteous manner.
- Carry out daily defect reports on vehicles and ensure vehicles are maintained in good order.
- Responsible for notification to Regional Network Hub Control Centre on commencement and end of winter maintenance and occupation of Roadspace for Traffic Management.

- Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Experience and knowledge of strict H&S operations and its practical implications.
- Ability to work night shifts (payment uplift in place).
