We're looking for a Drainage Operative to join our Transportation team based in Brixworth. Within this role, you can enjoy competitive annual holiday entitlement, life assurance and even more.

Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire
Hours: 45 hours per week – Days
What will you be responsible for?
As a Drainage Operative, you'll be working within the Maintenance team, supporting them with the cyclical gully cleansing programme and our reactive service to ensure highway drainage assets are operational. Your day to day will include:
- Operating a high-pressure jetting lorry
- Using handheld recording device to capture works information
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects and keeping vehicles clean and tidy
- Participating in the out of hours incident response and winter service duties
- Being the lead operative in a 2-person crew, taking responsibility for the daily tasks, health and safety and completion of all required paperwork

This role of Drainage Operative is great for you if:
- Can lift and conduct manual work with an ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- You will also need to have a current driving licence with the ability to drive a HGV
- Feel comfortable communicating with your team and members of the public
- Able to follow and understand Kier's policies and procedures, to provide a safe working environment, flexibility to cover varying shift patterns and emergency response
