We're looking for an Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) to join the KierBam JV team based in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Location: Somerset, Bridgwater
Contract: Permanent, 45 hours per Week - Shift Pattern: 7/3/7/4 Shift Pattern, (16:30 - 03:00) / (07:30 - 18:00)
What will you be responsible for?
As an Appointed Person you'll be working within the KierBam JV team, managing and planning of lifting operations for the joint venture on Hinkley Point C construction site. Your day to day will include:
- Fulfil the role of Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) as defined in BS7121
- Ensure that each lifting operation, or series of similar operations is assessed to provide such planning, selection of lifting applications and accessories, instruction, and supervision as is necessary for the task to be undertaken safely.
- Ensure that all cranes, lifting appliances and accessories have been tested, thoroughly examined, and inspected in accordance with statutory requirements and that the relevant reports, certificate and register are up to date and available to site.
- Ensure there is an effective procedure for reporting defects and incidents, taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Make sure lift operations do not conflict with the safety of any other actions on site.
