I.T Engineer

Location: Harpenden, Hertfordshire, UK, AL5 2

Contract: Permanent, Full Time (flexible and part time hours may be available if desired)

We\’re looking for a Section Engineer to join our Natural Resources team, working at our wastewater site for Thames Water in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Join our NRNN business unit Water business unit for our Thames Water framework major project at Harpenden.
  • Support the engineering and technical compliance of the project to the design specification.
  • Fulfil the assigned project (or section) safely, on time and to the required standard.
  • Bridge the gap between design and construction, providing engineering support across the project.
  • Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives.
  • Support construction teams with technical queries, resolving design conflicts, and driving value engineering initiatives.
  • Monitor and record construction progress and provide accurate technical input to support project reporting and planning.

This Section Engineer is great for you if you have:

  • Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in civil engineering, mechanical, electrical or related engineering discipline.
  • CSCS and SMSTS Card holder.
  • Experience within a civil engineering or construction environment with demonstrable experience in the Water sector.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
