Kier Group: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our internal MEP self-delivery team.

This role is based on a large-scale project in the Custodial sector, working closely with our Kier Construction business within an integrated MEP self-delivery model.

Location: Isle of Sheppey, Kent

Hours: Full-time, Permanent, with flexible working options available

Responsibilities

1. Ensure all works are procured, planned, and executed safely, in accordance with Kier standards, project requirements, and UK law.
2. Review designs with teams and clients to ensure compliance, efficiency, and safety, while implementing quality control procedures.
3. Manage project risks, opportunities, and changes to maintain project integrity and efficiency.
4. Provide leadership to project teams, ensuring clear expectations, accurate reporting, and project delivery within timelines and budgets.
5. Promote collaboration within Kier’s \”one team\” model, supporting team development and driving performance.

Candidate Requirements

• Technical expertise in Mechanical Services, with relevant industry qualifications.
• CSCS and SMSTS accreditations at minimum.
• Willingness to learn and develop, with training and progression opportunities provided.
