Location: Minehead, Somerset
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Responsibilities:
- Support the Operative team in delivering highway services across the Somerset network, including reactive works, emergency response, minor civils and improvement works, winter maintenance, and severe weather operations.
Daily Tasks:
- Promote customer care by working closely with team members, ensuring polite and courteous interactions with clients and network users.
- Respond to highway defects within specified timescales, updating relevant parties via tablet devices, and managing emergency traffic signage.
- Use tablet applications at incidents and repairs, recording work details accurately.
- Conduct daily defect reports on vehicles, ensuring they are maintained and clean.
Requirements:
- Full driving license (LGV training provided upon meeting business targets).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicating faults effectively.
