Our (senior) research data analysts are members of scientific project teams and provide expertise for statistical analyses of health outcomes studies with patients, caregivers, and clinicians. This includes tasks such as:

  • Development of statistical and psychometric analysis plans
  • Formal experimental design of choice experiments (such as discrete choice experiments, best-worst scaling, thresholding, and swing weighting)
  • Statistical analysis, including econometric analysis of choice data (e.g. from discrete choice experiments) and psychometric analyses (classical and modern), using R
  • Writing statistical analysis sections to study protocols and reports
  • Support efficient study operations by developing scripts to automate manual research tasks

Our data analysts may also support projects in the role of (senior) research associates, with tasks such as:

  • Literature reviews
  • Protocol development
  • Conducting patient interviews, including telephone interviews and online or in-person focus group moderation
  • Survey implementation and testing
  • Qualitative coding and analysis
  • Writing study reports and scientific publications

We are looking for candidates with experience conducting statistical analyses of patient preference, clinical outcome assessment, or other health outcomes data in R. Familiarity with data management and visualisation using the tidyverse packages is essential. The minimum educational requirements are:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., statistics, (health) economics, epidemiology, computer science, or management science) with three years of relevant experience; or
  • Doctoral degree in a relevant scientific field with one year of relevant experience

Any of the following experiences is considered an advantage:

  • Experience with the design or conduct of stated preference studies
  • Experience with psychometric analyses
  • Experience with survey scripting
  • Experience in publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals

Kielo Research is a digital-enabled consultancy, and we expect our staff to be fluent in using Microsoft Office products and comfortable with digital workflows. Fluency in English is essential. French, German, Spanish, or Italian is considered an advantage.
