Before and Afterschool Manager\\nLocation: Warwick, Coten End School\\nContract: Part time, Permanent\\nWorking Hours: 30 hours per week (Working pattern: Negotiable)\\nSalary: Up to £36,409 per year, based on a 30-hour workweek, term-time only plus 6 weeks. Hours can be negotiated upon offer.\\nAre you ready to inspire the next generation?\\nAre you passionate about creating a positive and safe environment for children to learn and play?\\nWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced Before and After School Club Manager to lead our vibrant and energetic team at Coten End Primary School's Before and After School Club. As the Manager, you will hold the highest level of responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring that children receive exceptional care, guidance, and enriching activities.
You will be comfortable managing the entire operation, from staff leadership to ensuring compliance with all safeguarding and health standards. With the support of a Deputy Manager, you will play an essential role in creating a safe, engaging, and enjoyable experience for children, as well as driving the development and success of the club.\\nIf you're a motivated, organised, and enthusiastic leader with a passion for childcare, we'd love to hear from you!\\nBefore and Afterschool Manager main responsibilities:\\n * Leadership and Management:\\n * Lead, support, and supervise a team of play workers, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment.\\n * Oversee the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring all children are safe, happy, and engaged during both morning and afternoon sessions.\\n * Ensure that all staff are following procedures and policies to maintain a safe and productive setting for children.\\n * Organise and manage rotas, ensuring the appropriate number of staff are present at all times, with clear responsibilities.\\n * Conduct annual performance reviews for staff and provide support and development opportunities.\\n * Take full responsibility for the operation of the club, including managing staff, resources, and ensuring smooth day-to-day running.\\n * Work closely with the Deputy Manager to ensure smooth operation and effective teamwork.\\n * Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for the Deputy Manager, helping to support their growth and readiness for increased responsibility.\\nDesignated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): As the DSL, you will be responsible for the safeguarding of all children in the club. This includes overseeing and implementing safeguarding policies, offering guidance and training to staff, and acting as the primary point of contact for any safeguarding concerns.
You will also ensure compliance with all child protection procedures and monitor the effectiveness of safeguarding practices.\\nOperational Management:\\n * Organise and coordinate fun, age-appropriate activities that support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.\\n * Ensure the environment is clean, safe, and conducive to play, including regular checks on toys, equipment, and facilities.\\n * Monitor and maintain health and safety standards across all areas of the club.\\n * Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies and procedures, including EYFs and Ofsted requirements, responding to any concerns promptly.\\nFinancial Management:\\n * Maintain accurate financial records, including basic bookkeeping tasks such as tracking income and expenses.\\n * Prepare and submit payroll information, ensuring that staff are paid accurately and on time.\\n * Assist with financial planning, including budget management, and ensure that resources are allocated effectively.\\n * Prepare end-of-year financial information and provide necessary documents for accountants, ensuring smooth financial reporting and compliance.\\nCommunication and Collaboration:\\n * Build strong, positive relationships with parents, staff, and the wider school community.\\n * Regularly update parents on their child’s development, daily activities, and any concerns.\\n * Collaborate closely with the Kidz Own Directors to ensure the club’s operations align with the company’s ethos and objectives.\\nStaff Development and Training:\\n * Provide mentorship and support to Senior playworkers and play workers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.\\n * Organise and attend relevant training to ensure compliance with the latest childcare and safeguarding regulations.\\n * Support the professional development of the Deputy Manager, assisting in their growth and training for leadership opportunities.\\n * Stay up to date with industry best practices and incorporate them into the club's activities.\\nQualifications and Experience:\\nManagerial experience is essential\\nLevel 3 qualification in Childcare, Play Work, or similar (NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent) is essential\\nPaediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training for children\\nExperience in managing or supervising teams in a childcare setting\\nExperience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or similar safeguarding role within a childcare setting would be beneficial, but full training will be provided\\nExperience working with primary school-aged children\\nStrong organisational and communication skills\\nFood Safety Certificate (Desirable)\\nExperience of booking systems e.g. Magic Bookings (Desirable)\\nWhat We Offer:\\nCompetitive salary, based on experience\\nAccess to training courses, paid by us\\nOpportunities for additional hours working at our Holiday Club\\nFree wraparound childcare for your own child (if attending Coten End Primary School)\\nA supportive and collaborative team environment\\nDeadline for applications Monday 24th March 2025\\nImportant: We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
