The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
Work under the supervision of the Head of Business Development Hereford to support the Conveyancing Department in delivering a high level of customer service to clients. The role will involve ensuring the smooth running of the Department by running a caseload and also assisting with completions, compliance and communication.
You will be responsible for ensuring all internal processes are conducted to a high standard and actively assisting the Department with the progress of transactions. The ideal candidate will be able to assist the Conveyancing Department by proactively communicating both internally and externally with key stakeholders by progressing files throughout the progression of matters to ensure customer satisfaction. They will act in a friendly manner, tailor their approach to fit the needs of each client and be confident in communicating with clients via email, telephone and in person. They will be responsible for running their own case load which will consist of, but not be limited to, sales, purchases, transfers, remortgages and granting of new leases. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisation skills and be able to autonomously manage their workload.
Key Responsibilities- Build strong relationships with clients.
- Efficiently and proactively communicate with clients and key stakeholders.
- Collaborating with the Conveyancing Department to deliver a seamless service.
- Updating Case Management System and client records.
- Being aware of key dates for auction matters and new build sites to ensure that these matters are prioritised and the client completes the necessary documentation in time.
- Being aware of internal processes and ensuring all files are compliant.
- Monitoring internal systems to ensure that cases are progressed regularly and efficiently.
- Running a caseload consisting of a mixture of files (sales, purchases, transfers, remortgages etc.).
- Progressing matters proactively and professionally with the aim of concluding cases efficiently whilst achieving good outcomes for clients.
- Drafting or considering contract packages.
- Raising enquiries.
- Submitting appropriate searches.
- Drafting title, mortgage and search reports.
- Acting for mortgage lenders.
- Conducting exchanges of contracts.
- Agreeing on the form of transfer deeds.
- Essential Qualifications & Training
- Law Degree
- Training and qualifications relevant to conveyancing
- Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment.
- Experience working with clients.
- Communication skills: You will be working with a wide range of people, from our clients to other solicitors and Agents, so the ability to communicate well and in a professional manner is essential.
- Written communication skills: spelling and grammar.
- Attention to detail: high level of accuracy and attention to detail when preparing legal documents or filling out forms and statements.
- Teamwork: able to work with clients, lawyers, and legal secretaries.
- Strong sense of discretion.
- Courteous and professional demeanor.
- Demonstrate that you can cope well under pressure.
- IT skills: Most work is be carried out electronically.
- Understanding on how to use MS Office.
- Legal terminology, regulations and HM Land Registry system, although full training will be given.
- Ability to work with legal technology (HM Land Registry filing, computer systems, transcription software, Dictaphone etc)
- Understanding of the conveyancing process.
