An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and passionate Registered Manager to lead the launch and development of a brand-new children's residential home in Newcastle. About the Role:

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a high-quality children's home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people. You will play a key role in developing the home's culture, recruiting and mentoring staff, and creating an environment that promotes stability, achievement, and positive life experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the registration and opening of the new home
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a skilled and motivated team
  • Promote outstanding safeguarding and child-centred practice
  • Manage budgets, occupancy, and operational performance
  • Build positive relationships with local authorities, families, and external agencies
  • Drive continuous improvement and achieve excellent outcomes for young people

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Home Manager within children's residential care
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding legislation
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve)
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Passion for improving the lives of children and young people
  • Full UK driving licence
