What a SENDCO needs: Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification and experience of working at a senior level. Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted. Excellent understanding of EYFS. Extensive knowledge of safeguarding. Experience of working with children with SEND requirements.
