At WEBSS (Wakefield Early Behaviour Support Service), we take a unique, compassionate approach to supporting the emotional wellbeing of children aged 5-10 who experience anxiety or low mood linked to autism or other neurodevelopmental conditions (diagnosed or not). Our focus is on connection, resilience, and empowerment—helping families feel understood, supported, and confident about the future.

Responsibilities
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people aged 5-10
  • Support parents and carers to build confidence and connect with others
  • Work collaboratively with professionals across health, education, social care, and specialist services
  • Deliver and support parent training workshops and interventions
  • Help develop colleagues, volunteers, and those with lived experience
  • Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and young people at all times
  • Confident supporting neurodivergent children, including those who may communicate distress in different ways
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage their own workload effectively
  • Resilient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting families
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
