Engineering Support Specialists to support an upcoming contract located at the Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall, United Kingdom!

Job Description/Qualifications

Responsible for providing technical construction observation, quality assurance data analysis, and administrative lifecycle tracking support across all phases of assigned surge projects.

These Engineering Support Specialist's shall possess a minimum of seven (7) years of professional-level experience in construction and/or engineering support, with a demonstrated focus on technical site observation, drafting quality assurance reports, and technical submittal analysis.

Must be qualified to access active UK construction sites (e. g., possess or be able to obtain within the first 30 days on-site a valid CSCS card or equivalent).

Experience in technical design review is required.

A construction-focused technical certification (e. g., CCM) or relevant project management certification (PMP or UK equivalent) is highly desired to ensure the delivery of high-quality technical data.

They shall have professional familiarity with Do D/USAF FSRM processes and UK building regulations.

  • Professional knowledge of civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices, and familiarity with architectural and other engineering disciplines to conduct thorough technical reviews.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of engineering and construction standards, methods, practices, techniques, materials, and equipment to analyze technical submittals for adherence to federal, host-nation, and local codes and regulations.

Familiarity with standard contracting regulations and procedures as they relate to facilities engineering; knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements to identify potential field deviations; and an understanding of work classifications to assist government personnel in tracking project expenditures.

  • Knowledge of automated data processing concepts, system capabilities, and scheduling software (e. g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to effectively track project lifecycles.

Understanding of facility programming cycles and cost modeling to support government financial tracking.

  • Knowledge of functional design techniques and skill in preparing project technical documentation, to include reviewing preliminary drawings, sketches, and construction drawings; and drafting skills sufficient to convey design concepts and assist in scope formulation.
  • Ability to conduct and document site/facility surveys and observations; to analyze and interpret technical data, rules, and regulations; and to draft timely, economical, and technically sound engineering recommendations for the Government PM.
  • Ability to organize technical tasks, synthesize data across multiple engineering disciplines, and communicate complex technical information effectively, both orally and in writing.
