For the Nursery Practitioner , it is essential that you hold a relevant childcare qualification, Level 2 minimum and have experience working within management in Early Years. Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English including functional skills are also a must if you obtained a Level 3 qualification after 2014.
Create a nurturing environment — Support a safe, engaging space where children can learn and thrive.
Be a consistent key person — Offer comfort, stability, and strong relationships for your key children.
Observe and plan learning — Record observations and plan next steps to support each child’s development.
Use varied teaching strategies — Adapt approaches to meet different learning styles and interests.
Support SEND needs — Work with families and professionals to provide tailored support for children with additional needs.
Safeguard children effectively — Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns promptly to the DSL.
