What we’re looking for

  • No existing qualifications needed; must have genuine passion for early years and childcare, be hardworking and keen to learn.
  • Evidence of experience with children, ideally in a nursery setting.
  • Right to work in the UK and UK residency for the past 3 years or more.
  • Maths and English GCSE desirable; if not, you will complete a Level 2 Maths and English Functional Skills test to show competence. Initial acceptance requires current equivalent of Level 1 Maths and English.

  • Shortlisted candidates will provide details of unspent convictions for safer recruitment and will undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Benefits

  • The Early Years Apprentice role offers a salary of £18,200 for full time, 40 hours per week during Level 2 apprenticeship; salary increases to £26,000 upon qualification.
  • For Level 3 apprenticeship, salary is £19,240 per year for full-time, 40 hours per week; pay increase to £21,320 upon Level 2 competency sign‑off, usually within first 2 months; a second‑year uplift to the minimum wage for age; upon completing qualification, salary increases to at least £26,499 with a £500 qualification bonus paid in two instalments.
