Welcome to the heart of Kido, where passion, ambition, and people are at the core of everything we do! As an Apprentice you’ll gain valuable hands‑on experience within the nursery while working towards a sought‑after early years qualification. Our Level 3 course takes approximately 2 years to complete, but offers you advancement to Level 2 sign‑off as soon as you’re ready. The apprenticeship is designed to be work‑based, with dedicated time allocated to support you with relevant learning and study to gain your qualification.
We are looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join our team at Kido International Nursery & Preschool Streatham, 113 Blegborough Rd, London SW16 6DL.
What we’re looking for:
- No existing qualifications required, only genuine passion for Early Years and Childcare and a hardworking, keen learner attitude.
- Some evidence of experience with children, ideally in a nursery setting.
- Right to work in the UK and UK residency for the past 3 years.
- Maths and English GCSE desirable; if absent you will complete a Level 2 Maths and English Functional Skills test to demonstrate competence.
- Current equivalent of Level 1 required to be accepted.

Shortlisted candidates will provide details of all unspent convictions prior to interview, in line with our Safer Recruitment process, and an enhanced DBS check will be processed.
Benefits:
- Salary for L2 Apprenticeship: £18,200 (full‑time, 40h per week).
- Salary increase to £26,000 upon qualification.
- Salary for L3 Apprenticeship: £19,240 (full‑time, 40h per week).
- Pay increase to £21,320 upon Level 2 competency sign‑off, usually within first 2 months.
- Second‑year pay uplift to the minimum wage for age.
- Post‑qualification salary at least £26,499 and a £500 qualification bonus in two instalments.
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days after 5 years service.
