Location: Kido Elephant Park Nursery & Preschool, 3 Bodley Way, London SE17 1FN.

Compensation: £18,200 - £19,240 per year.

Apprenticeship Level: Level 3 (approximately 2 years of study, with early Level 2 sign‑off). The programme is work‑based with dedicated study time.

Responsibilities

  • Gaining hands‑on experience in the nursery while progressing toward a Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Supporting early years staff and working with children in a supervised setting.

What we’re looking for

  • No previous qualifications required, but you must have a genuine passion for early years and childcare, be hardworking and keen to learn.
  • Some evidence of experience with children, ideally in a nursery setting.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK and hold UK residency for the past 3 years or more.
  • Maths and English GCSEs are desirable; if not held you must pass a Level 2 Maths and English Functional Skills test.
  • Current equivalent of Level 1 maths and English is required for initial acceptance.

We will check unspent convictions and conduct an enhanced DBS check for all staff.

Benefits

  • Salary for Level 2 Apprenticeship: £18,200 full‑time 40 hours. Once qualified, salary increases to £26,000.
  • Salary for Level 3 Apprenticeship: £19,240 full‑time 40 hours. Pay increase upon Level 2 sign‑off to £21,320.
  • In the second year, a pay uplift to the minimum wage for age.
  • Upon qualification, salary increases to at least £26,499 and a qualification bonus of £500 paid in two instalments.
  • 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days after 5 years of service.
