Kido are looking for a Deputy Room Leader to join the team at Blackwater - Hawley Green, Blackwater, GU17 9BS. The Deputy Room Leader role offers a salary range of £27,000 to £30,000, and is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. What we’re looking for
For the Deputy Room Leader role, it is essential that you hold a relevant childcare qualification, Level 2/3 minimum and experience in Early Years settings. Level 2 qualifications in English including functional skills are also a must if you obtained a Level 3 qualification after 2014.

What you'll be doing!
- Work collaboratively with your Room Leader to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities by communicating key information to team members and parents.
- Be a positive role model by inspiring outstanding teaching and learning every day.
- Support leading your team’s performance reviews by giving supportive feedback, setting clear SMART goals, and encouraging them to grow and reach their next steps.
- Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) ensuring the safety and welfare of all children is always prioritised and at the heart of everything we do.
- Support leading an ambitious curriculum for your room making sure that everyone is striving for outstanding in their education delivery.
- Ensure that the key person approach is well embedded in your room and every child also has both a key person and a buddy key person.
- Take pride in your development by ensuring you access continued professional development opportunities and encourage your team to do so.
