Kido is a place where innovation and imagination unite to create modern Early Years settings. We’re looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join our team at Kido, located at Unit 3B.04, Ram Quarter, Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 1TH.
We are an international organization operating in India, USA, and the UK. In the UK, all our nurseries are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted and are based in London and Windsor. We’re expanding rapidly, opening 1-2 new nurseries each year! At Kido, we blend best practices from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner approaches, offering a unique curriculum for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We believe that a combination of free and structured play, an engaging and interactive learning environment, and abundant love, care, and attention provide the best foundation for children in their early years. What we offer
On Level 2 Apprenticeship:
- A salary of £18,200 for full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Upon qualification, salary increases to £26,000 (12.50 per hour).
On Level 3 Apprenticeship:
- A salary of £19,240 for full-time, 40 hours per week.
- A pay increase after achieving Level 2 competency, raising salary to £21,320 (10.25 per hour), usually within the first 2 months.
- In the second year, a significant pay uplift to the minimum wage for age.
- Upon completing the qualification, salary increases to at least £26,499 (12.74 per hour), plus a £500 bonus paid in two installments.
Additional benefits include 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 30 days after 5 years), your birthday off, free childcare (subject to availability), a £1000 referral bonus, enhanced sick pay, performance-related pay increases, career progression opportunities, social events, healthcare cash plan, early access to pay, discounts via Perkbox, employee assistance program, wellness hub, and cycle-to-work scheme.

What being an Early Years Apprentice involves:
As an Apprentice, you\’ll gain practical experience while working towards a valued early years qualification. Our Level 3 course takes about 2 years, with opportunities to achieve Level 2 sign-off earlier. The apprenticeship is work-based, with dedicated time for learning and study.
Your main responsibilities include supporting the team in providing a safe, inspiring environment where children thrive, delivering engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and communicating effectively with parents, children, and colleagues. Safeguarding is a priority, and you\’ll be expected to report concerns promptly. You will also assist with mealtimes, ensuring dietary needs are met, and perform other tasks to ensure the nursery runs smoothly.

What we’re looking for:
- No prior qualifications required for Level 3 role, but a genuine passion for Early Years and Childcare, along with a hardworking, eager-to-learn attitude.
- Some experience with children, ideally in a nursery setting.
- Right to work in the UK and UK residency for at least 3 years.
- Maths and English GCSEs are desirable; if not, a Level 2 Functional Skills in these subjects is required, or current equivalent of Level 1.

- Shortlisted candidates will need to disclose unspent convictions before interview, in line with our Safer Recruitment policy. An enhanced DBS check will be conducted upon employment.
