KiddyKare is looking for a warm, caring, and dynamic Deputy Manager to join a dedicated team. If you have a passion for providing high-quality early years education, a strong understanding of the EYFS framework, and are ready to step into a leadership role, we want to hear from you!

Position: Deputy Manager
Location: KiddyKare
Hours: 27.75 hours per week (compressed hours over 3 days, 7:45am – 6:00pm)
Salary: £32,654 - £35,235 per annum
Type: Permanent, All-year-round

Key Responsibilities: As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and ensuring high standards of care.
  • Providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged birth to 5 years.
  • Leading and supporting staff through team meetings and supervision.
  • Leading the nursery in the absence of the manager, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Overseeing the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities to support holistic development.
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and fellow team members.

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Childcare and Education.
  • Has at least three years' experience working in a childcare setting, with two years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the EYFS framework and relevant childcare legislation.
  • Possesses strong self-motivation and the ability to take initiative in a leadership capacity.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Level 5 or above in Leadership and Management in Early Years.
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections, achieving Good or Outstanding ratings.
  • Up-to-date First Aid and Safeguarding training.
