Job Description

About the Nursery:
This is a lovely, family-run day nursery with a tight-knit, fun-loving team passionate about providing engaging and exciting learning experiences for children. They are looking for a skilled Deputy Manager to support the nursery manager and help drive continued growth and excellence.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support the nursery manager in the smooth running of the nursery and uphold high standards

  • Lead by example, motivate the team, and contribute innovative ideas

  • Maintain excellent knowledge of EYFS, policies, procedures, and Ofsted trends

  • Ensure up-to-date training in areas such as Prevent Duty, FGM, GDPR, and Fundamental British Values

  • Engage in room ratio duties, observe practices, and build strong team relationships

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Childcare qualification

  • Level 2 Maths qualification

  • Proven track record in nursery management

  • Up-to-date Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid training

  • Strong written and verbal English, basic ICT skills

  • Genuine love of childcare and proactive, can-do attitude
