We're looking for a creative, data-driven marketer to own Kiddlo's brand presence and growth channels. You'll be our first dedicated marketing hire — a huge opportunity to shape how millions of parents discover and fall in love with Kiddlo. Kiddlo is building the UK's most trusted marketplace for pre-loved baby and children's gear. We're early-stage but growing fast — thousands of parents across the UK already trust us to help them save money, reduce waste, and pass on quality items they no longer need.
As our first Marketing Specialist, you'll be responsible for everything from our Instagram feed to our email open rates. You'll work directly with the founders and have the freedom to experiment, test ideas quickly, and scale what works. This isn't a role for someone who wants to maintain the status quo. We want someone ambitious, curious, and genuinely excited about helping parents discover a smarter way to shop.
What you'll do:
- Own and execute Kiddlo's organic social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest — including content creation, scheduling, and community management.
- Plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, social, influencer, and PR) that drive sign-ups, listings, and buyer transactions.
- Write compelling copy for email newsletters, push notifications, landing pages, and in-app messaging — adapting tone for each channel and audience segment.
- Manage and grow our influencer and creator partnerships, including parent bloggers, parenting podcasts, and micro-influencers.
- Collaborate with the product team to support feature launches with go-to-market plans, user communications, and onboarding content.
- Analyse campaign performance using GA4, Mixpanel, and Meta Ads Manager — producing weekly reports and iterating quickly based on data.
- Run A/B tests on subject lines, ad creatives, landing page copy, and CTAs to continually improve conversion rates.
- Lead seasonal and promotional calendar planning (e.g. back-to-school, Christmas, New Year clear-out) to maximise GMV at peak moments.
- Represent the Kiddlo brand in parent communities, Facebook groups, and forums — building authentic presence without being spammy.
- Support SEO content strategy with blog posts, city landing pages, and category guides that rank and convert.
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally in a consumer app, marketplace, or DTC brand.
- Proven track record of growing social audiences and driving measurable results from organic and paid campaigns.
- Excellent copywriter — you can switch between playful brand posts and clear transactional messaging without losing the voice.
- Comfortable with data: you know your way around analytics dashboards and can turn numbers into clear next actions.
- Experience running influencer or affiliate programmes, including outreach, contracting, and performance tracking.
- Good working knowledge of email marketing platforms (we use Resend; Mailchimp/Klaviyo background is fine).
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage environment — you don't wait to be told what to do.
- Genuine interest in sustainability, parenting, or the circular economy — you understand our audience because you are (or were) one.
Nice to have:
- Don't worry if you don't tick every box — these are extras, not dealbreakers.
- Experience at a two-sided marketplace (e.g. Vinted, Etsy, Depop, Gumtree).
- Familiarity with paid social (Meta, TikTok Ads) and running small-budget experiments.
- Video editing skills for Reels / TikTok content.
- Understanding of UK parenting media landscape — NCT, Mumsnet, Bounty, etc.
