The Key Account Manager is responsible for increasing all business within the current customer key account base and opening new accounts throughout the UK. As well as having overall responsibility for business growth, the role includes product listing, pricing, rebates, and attending exhibitions. Responsibilities Create and manage an annual business plan by account. Proactively identify new and different business opportunities to provide increased sales. Stay up to date with all industry trends, issues, and news. Ensure all business opportunities for EMS are managed professionally and cross-selling opportunities are maximized. Ensure all EMS products obtain maximum focus and opportunities. Maximize all networking opportunities and other relevant meetings. Visit all customers as required on a regular call cycle. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key account customers. Manage relationships with all contacts, including negotiating yearly contracts. Provide strong representation for the company at all times. Work closely with Product and Marketing personnel to ensure all sales opportunities are maximized. Ensure strong internal communication to assist all departments in the company in understanding the accounts, listings, pricing, etc. Qualifications / Requirements Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work closely with the Customer Service department. Ability to produce presentations and business proposals, with strong negotiation skills. Ability to execute expansion tactics and meet monthly sales targets. Self-motivated, with strong planning skills. Strong sales and business acumen. Clear strategic mindset with an analytical focus. Strong rapport and relationship-building capabilities at a commercial level. Ability to communicate, present, and negotiate at all levels. Innovation and creativity. Results-driven approach. Marketing and product development skills. Ability to work autonomously. Project management, problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills. Advanced computer literacy. Business plan and report writing skills. Good understanding of the relevant industry. Education / Experience 2–5 years of experience working in a large corporation. Sales, Engineering, or another technical degree preferred.
