This is an opportunity to join a team of dedicated Learner Support Practitioners, who are committed to working inclusively, using a variety of methods to meet learners' personal needs across a range of difficulties and disabilities and to help them work towards becoming confident and independent individuals.

As a Learner Support Practitioner, you will be joining our dynamic team assisting in the care and educational support of learners with a range of difficulties and disabilities. Duties include:

  • Providing in-class support to learners by communicating with them on their level.
  • Breaking down tasks and explaining lesson content as needed.
  • Note taking and scribing may be required, as well as reading and in some cases personal care of the learner.
  • Support for lunch, break and beginning and end of day may also be required.
  • Travel and support offsite as well as support in practical lessons such as animal care and carpentry.

Minimum Requirements: GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths is essential for this post as is the ability to evidence proficiency in the use of ICT.
