Regional Technical Services Engineer, EMS, south/central UK
Location: UK Home Based, London / South Central England area. The role is field‑based with travel expected and requires meeting customer visit requirements.

We are currently looking for a Regional Technical Services Engineer for our EMS (wireless fire detection and alarm products) UK&I team.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Attend sites where EMS products are installed to provide technical assistance to installer/maintaining companies.
- Complete site visit reports in accordance with company requirements.
- Respond to and follow up technical enquiries as necessary.
- Supply technical support regionally and outside of the local area, where required.
- Undertake customer trainings on EMS products, when suitably trained to do so.
- Carry out radio site surveys as part of company sales requirements.
- Maintain and develop existing customer relationships, aligning with company objectives.
- Liaise with and inform the internal Technical Support Department regarding any site technical information required by installing and maintaining companies.
- Attend technical conference calls to discuss any sites regionally that require technical assistance.
- Ensure that all efforts are undertaken to meet company targets and timescales.
- Attend and present at customer and internal meetings in accordance with regional and company objectives.
- Adhere to company health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
- Any additional training requirements to be highlighted to Technical Services Manager for action, if deemed necessary.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the Fire & Security industry.
- Good understanding of fire and security industry codes of practice.
- Good general knowledge of EMS products and services will be a strong advantage.
- Appropriate computer skills in MS Office package, internet and e‑mail.
- Native/fluent English.
- Full driving licence.
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
- Ability to work well with others to achieve objectives.
- Ability to present oneself and company products in a professional and competent manner.
- Credible and comfortable in dealing with tense situations.
- Good organisational skills.
- Provide feedback on new and existing product functionality/operation.
