About this Role
Wingfield Primary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting thepersonal welfare and educational needs of our children, ensuring a safe andinclusive learning environment. You will work closely with the SENCO and classteachers to facilitate children's access to education, promote inclusion, andsupport achievement.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making adifference in children's lives, particularly those with additional needs. Ifyou are flexible, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive learningexperience.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the management ofchildren's behaviour, health, and well-being.
- Prepare classroom resources andequipment for use during lessons.
- Support individual educationplans and class work under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Motivate and assist children tostay on task and complete work effectively.
- Accompany classes on schooloutings and support physical activities such as PE and drama.
- Attend training sessions andINSET days.
- Assist with minor accidents andsupervise unwell children as directed.
- Provide care and assistance tochildren, which may include hygiene, feeding, and supporting during break andlunch times.
Requirements
- Level 2 qualifications inEnglish and maths.
- Training in communicationtechniques, creative play, and physical care is desirable.
- Experience supporting pupilswith communication, interaction, sensory, or physical impairments isadvantageous.

All appointments aresubject to appropriate pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check. Our successful candidate will also be health checked and references will be requested before interview.

Workinghours are 08:40 - 15:40 with a 30-minute lunch break: 32.50 hours perweek 39 weeks per year - term time plus 5 inset days.
The Interview process will include a short observation of you spendingtime with a class.
