27.5 hours per week 39 weeks per year - 22.5 hours Teaching Assistant / 5 hours Mid-Day Meals Supervisor

09.00 - 15:30 Monday - Friday with a 1 hour break for lunch

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: Β£16,564 TA & Β£3681 MMS

Weare seeking an inspirational Teaching Assistant and with vision and highexpectations for learning to work across our school, within a whole classsetting and on an individual basis, supporting children with additional needs,and supervising children on the playground during playtimes and lunchbreaks.

Adegree of flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the children andthe school.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Contribute to the management ofchildren's behaviour, health, and well-being
  • Prepare classroom resources andequipment for use during lessons
  • Support individual education plans andclass work under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Motivate and assist children to stayon task and complete work effectively
  • Accompany classes on school outingsand support physical activities such as PE and drama
  • Attend training sessions and INSETdays
  • Assist with minor accidents andsupervise unwell children as directed
  • Provide care and assistance tochildren, which may include hygiene, feeding, and supporting during break andlunch times.

Requirements

  • Level 2 qualifications in English andmaths
  • Training in communication techniques,creative play, and physical care is desirable
  • Experience supporting pupils withcommunication, interaction, sensory, or physical impairments is advantageous
