About Kadence
As a fast-paced, early-stage, venture capital-backed B2B SaaS company, we’re looking for a Workplace Solutions Engineer in the London area. Kadence is the AI-powered Workplace Operations Platform - one unified system that orchestrates people, space, and time. Leaders get a real-time command center for their two largest costs: people and real estate. Employees get a bottom-up daily guide that helps them navigate every workday. We work with agile, multi-site enterprises across financial services, healthcare, government, manufacturing, professional services, and technology.
Why this role exists
As our customers have moved upmarket and our platform has grown from booking into a full operations layer: SpaceOps, WorkOps Pro, VMS, Sense, Kadence Agent, Insights Plus, Move Manager, and Kadence AI. The technical bar for our deployments has changed. IT teams at our largest customers now want to talk about SSO/SCIM architecture, Zscaler exceptions, Intune policies, calendar service accounts, sensor hardware, multi-instance strategies, and compliance frameworks, often on the first call. The Workplace Solutions Engineer is the person who meets them there.
What you'll do
- Own the technical implementation across our most complex enterprise deployments.
- Design and deliver the technical rollout for named enterprise accounts - SSO (Entra ID, Okta, OIDC), SCIM provisioning, calendar integration (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace service accounts), Kadence Agent deployment via Intune/MDM, public-IP configuration for automated check-in, Zscaler/proxy/VPN exceptions, HRIS syncs (Azure AD, Workday feeds), and hardware setup (Neat devices, iPad kiosks, room displays).
- Engineer Kadence for real-world workplace complexity.
- Lead launch planning and go-live orchestration.
- Build and deliver customer enablement.
- Coach customers on workplace operations best practices.
- Stay in the account through moments that matter in the full lifecycle, not just at kickoff.
- Navigate enterprise security, compliance, and change management.
- Close the loop with Product and Engineering.
- Raise the bar for how we deploy Kadence.
What success looks like
- Enterprise deployments launched on time and on scope, with SSO/SCIM/calendar/agent live and working from day one.
- Launch plans that hit their target dates because dependencies were sequenced correctly and stakeholders were prepared.
- Admins, managers, and end users who can run Kadence confidently after your enablement - measurable in early-adoption metrics.
- Zero net-new churn attributable to technical implementation or launch gaps.
- Time-to-first-value shortened across your portfolio, quarter over quarter.
- Customer technical stakeholders - IT, security, workplace ops - trust Kadence enough to become internal champions.
- Renewals and expansions land because the technical foundation is solid, opening the door to new sites, new modules, and increased user seats.
- Product and Engineering ship improvements sourced from your customer feedback.
Who you are
- 5+ years in a technical customer-facing role - solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical account management, implementation architecture, or enterprise IT delivery - ideally in SaaS serving mid-market and enterprise customers.
- You have real IT depth.
- You have been in the room for calendar integration debates, proxy/Zscaler exceptions, MDM/Intune rollouts, and network/IP architecture conversations.
- You’ve owned launches, not just configurations.
- You are a natural coach and trainer.
- You are excellent with enterprise IT and security stakeholders.
- You know workplace, real estate, or IWMS-adjacent domains - or you are deeply curious about them.
- You are structurally organized.
- You communicate cleanly under pressure.
- You have a builder's instinct.
- You partner well.
Nice to have
- Direct experience with adjacent workplace tools (Envoy, Robin, OfficeSpace, iOFFICE/Eptura, Condeco, Archibus, FM Systems, SwipedOn).
- Familiarity with Archilogic, AutoCAD, or CAD/DWG-sourced floor plans.
- Hardware deployment experience — Neat, Poly, Logitech, iPad kiosks, occupancy sensors.
- Scripting or query skills (SQL, basic Python, PowerShell) for data validation and bulk operations.
- Prior experience deploying to CMMC, FedRAMP-adjacent, or heavily regulated customers.
- Prior experience building customer training programs, certification tracks, or workplace-champion / ambassador networks.
The team you'll join
You will join our Customer Experience organization - a tight, hands-on team that owns the customer journey from signature through renewal and expansion. You will work alongside our Customer Success Managers and Support team, and you will have a direct line to our engineering and product leadership. This role reports to the VP of Customer Success.
Location & work model
Hybrid - based in the London area, with regular time collaborating in person and flexibility to work from home. Occasional travel to customer sites across the UK, EMEA, and occasionally the US for major enterprise launches and on-site workshops (roughly 10–20%, depending on portfolio).
What we offer
- Competitive salary calibrated to a technical customer-facing role.
- Meaningful equity stock options.
- Private healthcare and company pension.
- 5 weeks' holiday per annum (plus public holidays).
- Cycle2Work scheme.
- Regular company socials, including an annual off-site where the whole global team gets together in person.
- A front-row seat to Kadence's expansion from category challenger to category-defining Workplace Operations Platform.
- Real influence on the product, the playbook, and the shape of the CX organisation as we scale.
