The Football Association and Wembley Group are looking for an experienced Ticketing Operations Lead to take ownership of our ticketing strategy and deliver an outstanding service for our events. This is a senior operational role, leading a team of Ticketing Operations Managers to ensure every ticket sold contributes to a smooth, secure and exceptional experience for our Event Owners, members and visitors. With over 50 major events expected this year, particularly between May and September, the role will involve regular evening and weekend work, making flexibility essential.
What the role involves
- You will be responsible for delivering the Group's ticketing strategy and making sure that our processes are robust, auditable and consistently high performing.
- You will lead and develop a team, providing coaching, feedback and opportunities to ensure they reach their full potential.
- You will manage ticketing for a wide range of events, from major matches to smaller stadium events, including planning, sales, fulfilment and post-event reconciliation.
- You will oversee budgets and forecasts, provide accurate reporting and work with colleagues to make sure all ticketing operations are safe, secure and deliver the very best customer experience.
- You will also play a key role in succession planning, team development and continuous improvement, ensuring the department is recognised as delivering a "Best Venue" service.
What we are looking for
- Significant experience managing venue or event ticketing operations.
- Expertise with venue ticketing systems, ideally including AV.
- Experience in event ticketing planning and venue manifest management.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and day-to-day budget management.
- Experience managing and developing teams.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience of high-end club membership schemes.
- Knowledge of football club ticketing operations and stadium music events.

Currently, we are working within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team.
