Football Development Officer, Fixed Term Contract to 31st August 2027 (Maternity Cover)
Lancashire Football Association is seeking a dedicated, highly motivated and inspiring individual to join our Football Development Team on a fixed‑term maternity cover contract. The role is aligned to The FA's National Game Strategy and the successful candidate will lead football development activity across Barrow, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Rossendale, supporting clubs, leagues and partners to grow and develop grassroots football, as well as leading on club and league accreditation across Lancashire.
Responsibilities:
- Lead football development activity in the listed areas.
- Support clubs, leagues and partners to grow grassroots football.
- Lead on club and league accreditation across Lancashire.
Qualifications:
- Sport development background.
- Demonstrated passion for supporting communities across the area, working with traditional leagues, clubs and community-based partners.
- Strong understanding of grassroots football development and sustainable development programmes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of Barrow, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Rossendale is advantageous.
Job details: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend commitments. Opportunities to work remotely and flexibly. Travel across key activity areas required.
