The Role

You’ll manage the Club's day-to-day presence across X, Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook and You Tube, and Linkedn, planning and publishing content, engaging with fans and using performance data to understand what works and where we can improve.

  • Creating engaging, platform-specific content and copy that reflects the Club's voice.
  • Delivering live matchday social coverage, including build-up, in-game updates and post-match reaction.

  • Good judgement and an understanding of the responsibility that comes with publishing publicly on behalf of a professional football club.
  • The ability to remain calm, accurate and creative when working to live deadlines.
  • Due to the nature of the role a full UK Driving licence.

Experience within football, sport, entertainment or live events would be a real advantage, as would experience with paid social advertising, photography/video editing and sponsor or branded content.

You’ll Thrive Here If...

You're the person who watches a football moment and immediately knows how it could become a great social post.

You understand that football social media isn't simply about posting scores and fixtures — it's about personality, emotion, storytelling and building a genuine relationship with supporters.

You're creative and proactive, but you also have excellent judgement.

You know when to join a conversation, when to have some fun and when a situation requires a more considered approach.

You'll also need to be comfortable with the reality of football: priorities change quickly, news breaks unexpectedly and matchday deadlines don't move.

Football Doesn’t Work 9–5

This role requires flexibility and availability to work matchdays, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required, as well as attending Club events and other activities where social coverage is needed.

For the right person, that's part of what makes the job exciting.
