Be Part of Something Extraordinary

Leicester City Football Club is seeking an experienced and driven Facilities Manager to play a pivotal role in maintaining and developing one of the UK's most iconic sporting venues.

This is an exciting opportunity for a facilities professional with strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering operational excellence.

Working within our Operations team and reporting to the Head of Facilities, you will help ensure the King Power Stadium and associated sites operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards every day.

From leading maintenance teams and managing major projects to supporting matchday operations and driving continuous improvements, this role offers a unique chance to make a real impact behind the scenes at a Premier League football club.

The Role

As Facilities Manager, you will oversee the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance activities across the Club's facilities, ensuring all buildings, plant, equipment and infrastructure remain safe, compliant and fully operational.

You will lead and develop the maintenance team, manage specialist contractors, deliver refurbishment and capital projects, and ensure all statutory and legislative requirements are met.

This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same.

One day you could be planning a major infrastructure upgrade, the next ensuring the stadium is fully operational and ready to welcome thousands of supporters on matchday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop the maintenance team through effective management and coaching.
  • Oversee the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all statutory inspections, testing and compliance activities are completed and accurately recorded.
  • Manage facilities-based capital projects, refurbishments and infrastructure improvements.
  • Procure and oversee third-party contractors, monitoring performance against agreed service standards.
  • Support the development and management of departmental budgets.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure all Club properties are maintained to exceptional standards.
  • Support matchday and major event operations, ensuring facilities are fully functional and compliant.
  • Coordinate emergency responses to critical building, plant or essential service failures when required.

About You

We're looking for a proactive and solutions-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a genuine passion for facilities management.

  • Diploma in Engineering, Electro/Mechanical Engineering, Management, Business Studies or a relevant professional qualification.
  • Proven experience within Facilities Management, ideally within a complex or large-scale environment.
  • Experience leading multi-skilled maintenance teams.
  • Project management experience within construction or facilities-related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, compliance requirements and industry best practice.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • IOSH Managing Safely and/or NEBOSH qualification.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body such as IWFM or APM.
  • Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • What You'll Need

Given the nature of the role, flexibility is essential.

While the position typically follows a Monday to Friday working pattern, weekend and evening attendance will be required to support matchdays and major events, with time off in lieu provided.

This is your opportunity to join a world-renowned football club where excellence, teamwork and innovation are at the heart of everything we do.
