Derby County are seeking to recruit a Casual Ticket Office Assistant to join the Ticketing Department at Pride Park Stadium. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping facilitate ticket sales in person and over the phone and fulfilling online orders for all home and away games whilst ensuring excellent customer service and being able to provide customers with accurate ticketing and service information.
Key Role Responsibilities- Provide an excellent, professional, and effective service to supporters
- Handle telephone calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries both inbound and outbound
- Greet and engage with customers in a warm, genuine, and friendly manner, ensuring that customers always receive the best possible service
- Sell multiple Club products and provide alternatives and add-on sales at every opportunity
- Handle and resolve customer complaints in line with Ticket Office procedures
- Upsell products and services where appropriate using ticketing and service knowledge
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of all appropriate Club products and services
- Maintain the Ticket Office by always keeping it clean and presentable
- Ensure all data is collected and updated accurately in accordance with GDPR
- Follow Ticketing procedures and policy and inform supporters of changes where applicable
- Keep confidential any information gained regarding the Club and its personnel
- Be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of customers and colleagues, complying with health and safety guidance and policy
- Work to maintain, embed and improve the club’s safeguarding provision, ensuring the highest standards for safeguarding children and adults at risk
- Uphold and promote organisational policies and procedures, including equality, diversity and inclusion
- Present and promote an appropriate public image in representing the organisation
- Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the post
- GCSE or equivalent, Level C or above in Maths and English
- Confident, resilient and self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- Work using own initiative and as part of a team
- Complaint handling experience (desirable)

The role is open to individuals 18 years and over. The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour and hours are offered on a casual basis, requiring flexibility to work home matchdays (typically weekends and evenings) and additional opportunities during the week.
