Our Junior Sport Football Casual Coach is a key team member for Junior Sport / Sport Systems team, and associated areas of Cardiff Met Sport. They assist with the delivery of the Football Junior sports programme (Cardiff Met FC Academy) and ensure that the needs of participants are met.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Lead Coaches of Football and wider Cardiff Met Junior Sport team in the delivery of high-quality Football coaching.
  • Supporting our participants / athletes in their development of all elements of Football, across a range of age groups.
  • Assist in teaching and refining of Football skills for various games (e.g., dribbling, shooting, goalkeeping).
  • Collaborate with the Lead Coach to develop and refine training programmes, offering feedback on what is working well and what could be improved.

What you’ll Bring

You’ll use your previous experience of coaching & working within a sport coaching environment and understanding of the importance of customer care to provide an outstanding service to our Football participants. Your knowledge of industry standards and national governing body policies will ensure that our Football programmes are both safe and of the highest standards. Additionally you’ll have:

  • Level 1 Coaching Qualification (or above) in football.
  • Superb team working skills, able to work effectively as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for participants.
  • Experience working with customers and parents.
