Derby County are seeking to recruit an Academy Kit and Equipment Coordinator to join Academy Operations at Moor Farm Training Centre. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Academy Kit and Equipment Manager in overseeing the kit requirements of our Academy Teams, management, and staff. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all kit and training equipment is accurate, well-maintained, and readily available within specified deadlines. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Take charge of preparing training and match kits for Academy squads, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist Academy squads as needed, including attending home and away fixtures and covering training sessions.
- Ensure the daily distribution of kit and equipment to players and staff members.
- Conduct regular checks on footballs and other relevant equipment for all Academy squads.
- Ensure match kits for all Academy age groups are prepared and repacked for their upcoming games.
- Fulfil all kit printing requests, including match and training kits.
- Aid in the allocation of training and travel kits for players and staff, maintaining accuracy and organisation.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and replenish supplies as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the Kit Manager to execute daily duties effectively.
- Undertake any additional kit and equipment-related tasks as directed by the Academy Kit Manager.
Personal characteristics and experience
- Previous experience working in a football environment is desirable.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of working effectively to targets and deadlines.
- Experience working independently in managing processes from start to finish is desirable.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing demands and deadlines.
- Ability to work on own initiative, solving problems as they arise.
Desirable Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent (grade A-C).
- A full UK Driving License.
Role details
The role will be a minimum of 28 hours per week, with additional hours during busy periods based at our training ground in Oakwood, Derby. Salary is based on £12.71 per hour.
