Kibworth Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and highly motivated Extended Services Education Assistant to support the Wrap Around Manager in the provision of high quality activities for pupils at the end of the normal school day. The successful candidate will be trustworthy, enthusiastic, full of energy, enjoy working with children and be a real team player; experience is desirable but not essential. You will provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore, grow and have FUN!

Main Duties and responsibilities:

  • To maintain a duty of care for all children that attend the Extended Services wrap Around Care.
  • To establish and maintain positive relationships with children and Extended Services provision teams.
  • To maintain communication with the Extended Services Support Lead, and Deputy Lead.
  • To provide care and encouragement to children and young people with disabilities or special educational needs, supporting them to participate in activities and liaising, if required, with parents / carers / other professionals as appropriate.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of working with children and be committed to providing our pupils with a safe and enjoyable childcare environment.
  • Experience of working with children in a play, childcare or out of school setting is essential.
  • Level 2 NVQ or CACHE or working towards is desirable.
  • Ability to create an inspirational and stimulating child centred play and care environment.
  • Excellent communication (written & oral) and interaction skills with child, parents and colleagues.
