We are seeking a skilled CCTV and Alarm Installer Subcontractor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of CCTV and Alarm systems across various sites in Cardiff and the surrounding area. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, computer networking, and construction practices. The position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to security infrastructure projects with a focus on quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Install alarm or CCTV cameras and associated hardware in accordance with system design schematics and project specifications.
- Configure and test CCTV systems to ensure optimal functionality and coverage.
- Integrate CCTV systems with existing network infrastructure, including computer networking and telecommunication components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete installations efficiently and safely.
- Interpret technical schematics, system design documents, and wiring diagrams to execute installations accurately.
- Troubleshoot system issues related to hardware, software, or network connectivity.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure installations comply with safety standards and project timelines.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of installed CCTV systems to ensure ongoing performance.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations during all phases of installation and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CCTV installation and Alarm systems (Pyronix).
- Knowledge of computer hardware, networking protocols, and electrical systems.
- Electrical experience is highly desirable; certification or training in electrical systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to secure mounting and cabling of surveillance devices.
- Valid relevant licences or certifications are preferred but not essential.
This position is paid on a contractual basis as a subcontractor role. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to safety standards throughout their work.
