The Role

  • Responsible for around half of our suppliers across the business - matching invoices to coding costs and VAT on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Processing used vehicle invoices checking net buyback value is correct, liaising with fleet companies and de-fleet centre to resolve queries.
  • Processing approved staff expenses on Concur expense system checking claims are within our expenses policy and rejecting/adjusting claims outside the policy.
  • Cross checking weekly payment runs to suppliers and employees against invoices ensuring accuracy prior to BACS files being sent for approval.
  • Pro-actively following up overdue items on suppliers’ statements and pending list on SAP with operational managers to ensure suppliers are paid within credit terms.
  • Reconciling parent companies and high value supplier’s statement of account quarterly.
  • Pro-actively resolving debit balances on the purchase ledger, maintaining control over the quality of the purchase ledger and allocating payments timely in the correct period.

About You

  • Educated to GCSE Level and above
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Good attention to detail
  • Self-motivated to achieve own objectives but can also work within a team to ensure the achievement of wider objectives
  • Flexible & positive attitude; Ability to cope with changing demands / priorities

Desirable:

  • Knowledge & experience of SAP and Concur expense system
  • Experience as an Accounts Payable assistant

Location/Travel

The Kia UK Head Office is based in Walton-on-Thames, just a 5 minute walk from the station. We also have plenty of on-site parking for drivers, including EV charging ports.
