The Role Summary
The Sales Planning Specialist plays a key role in coordinating, consolidating and reporting key information from all business areas to inform Sales decisions. The role is responsible for organising accurate weekly sales forecasting, maintaining our internal Sales Plan, and supporting other sales teams to maximise sales performance. By analysing data and generating meaningful insight, the Sales Planning Specialist helps Kia UK understand the impact of decisions and commercial strategies, contributing to improved performance and aligned cross-functional planning.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate Sales requirements to ensure Kia UK's internal Sales Plan is optimised and up to date.
- Collate information to ensure alignment between Sales and Production Planning, and continuously find new ways to show interaction between these areas.
- Work closely with Sales teams to ensure that their Wholesale and Retail requirements can be met and planned for.
- Take ownership for preparation of meeting materials, to support presentations and inform decisions.
- Provide Kia Europe with designated forecast reporting on a weekly basis, from collation of information in Kia UK's Working Plan.
- Support activation of sales on new models, in coordination with Product and Supply Chain teams amongst others.
- Create insight which helps Kia UK understand the impact of decisions on Sales, and how our strategy should change.
- Support the Production Planning team in forming Kia UK's Monthly Production Requests, from Sales Planning information.
- Bring and create insight from other sales areas, field teams, dealers, and on PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) requirements.
- Help maximise opportunities from new model launch plans, and minimise disruption from transitions and delays.

- Numerate with strong digital skills, including advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong Analytical Skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-starter, motivated, driven and with a desire to learn.
- Competent Project and Stakeholder Management skills.
- Not afraid to ask questions.
