2nd Line Desktop Engineer Location: Carlisle (Onsite) Duration: 3 Months+ Rate: £140 outside IR35 Khuda Technology is seeking a skilled 2nd Line Desktop Engineer to join our clients team on a 3-month contract based onsite in Carlisle. The role involves providing hands-on technical support, with a strong focus on rebuilding and configuring laptops, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and supporting general desktop management. Responsibilities: * Provide 2nd line technical support for end users, resolving escalated incidents and service requests. * Rebuild, configure, and deploy laptops and desktops to company standards. * Perform hardware diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades as required. * Assist with software installations, updates, and general device management. * Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including asset tracking and documentation. * Collaborate closely with the wider IT team to ensure efficient issue resolution and service delivery. Skills: * Proven experience in a 2nd Line Desktop Support or similar IT support role. * Strong hands-on experience rebuilding and configuring laptops/desktops. * Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 environments. * Familiarity with general desktop management and basic software deployment tools. * Exposure to SCCM is a plus but not essential. * Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in an onsite, fast-paced environment.
