Job Description HGV TECHNICIAN Hours: Monday to Friday - Days KHR Recruitment Specialists are working with a well-established transport and logistics business based in Gillingham, who are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their in-house workshop team. You'll be responsible for the servicing, repair and maintenance of a fleet of DAF and Mercedes HGVs, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant and kept to a high standard. Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance Completing PMI (Preventative Maintenance Inspection) work Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults Carrying out mechanical repairs and component replacements Electrical fault finding, repairs and diagnostics Working on braking, suspension, steering and transmission systems Carrying out inspections and identifying potential faults Preparing vehicles for MOT and ensuring roadworthiness Maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance & Servicing/Repair or equivalent Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Mechanic Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills A Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence would be beneficial but is not essential Keep in touch with us online for job alerts, industry updates and market...
