Finance Consultant
Salary: Β£35,000 β Β£55,000 per annum (DOE)
Location: Home/Field Based β Servicing clients situated across Kent
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am β 5.30pm (37hpw)
KHR are currently working with a specialist financial service provider who, due to continued growth, are looking to hire a number of Finance Consultants with a variety of levels of experience to cover their client base across Kent.
As the Finance Consultant you will work with schools and multi-academy trusts in your allocated territory providing cover, advising on best practices, delivering training and completing any work required as part of the project.
This is a field-based role, covering areas including Maidstone, Dartford and Mid-Kent. Although your home will act as a base, you will be required to visit the Kent-based office monthly and attend training and planned meetings.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Finance Consultant, youβll support with various finance-related services including;
β Delivering training to school finance staff
β Providing interim cover for senior finance roles (Finance Controller / CFO level)
β Producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
β Supporting clients through year-end processes and audits
β Advising on best practices in line with the Academies Financial Handbook
β Leading on client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
β Mentoring junior team members and contributing to team development
β Youβll also be involved in internal projects, client scheduling, CPD, sector engagement, and promoting the business through networking and social platforms.
Candidate Profile
β ACA or ACCA Qualified preferred (or working towards)
β Solid financial knowledge and skills
β Experience working within the education sector
β Comfortable working independently and managing your diary
β A confident communicator who can build relationships and deliver training
β Passionate about providing high-quality support and helping clients improve
β Experience with budgeting, reporting, and statutory compliance
β A proactive and collaborative mindset
β Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your vehicle
