IG Masonry Support is a leading provider of innovative bespoke masonry support products, catering to the construction industry's unique needs. We are committed to delivering high-quality solutions and exceptional customer service. We currently have an opening for a HLA student to join our Engineering team. In this role you will adopt good practice and general principles when specifying IG Masonry Support products. You will work closely and collaboratively with our senior engineers to ensure correct mark-ups are produced and aim to improve commercial performance that is aligned with the business targets.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote Health & Safety in the workplace, displaying excellent personal safety and challenging others when unsafe behaviour is observed.
- Produce Quotes: In conjunction with the senior engineers, you will prepare an accurate, competitive, and detailed technical quote for the IG Masonry Support Product range, based on structural drawings and client information. You will produce basic mark-up drawings along with quotations for discussion. You will maintain the company's customer service targets, prioritising work appropriately to deliver designs and quotes within set deadlines. Quotes are to be logged accurately on our IT systems.
- Professionally Manage your Live Projects: Work closely with our Production team to arrange orders and call-offs in conjunction with the customer's schedule. Maintain all information/records required to ensure successful project running/completion - all updates should be added to our CRM database accordingly.
- Provide Great Customer Service: After a period of onboarding you will answer technical queries and serve the customer with the highest level of technical and customer service. Occasional periodic site visits will be required to develop customer relationships and to measure up/solve technical issues and/or facilitate site installations. Collate information and prepare clear and structured technical reports on findings from site as and when required. Support the office team to exceed individual, team and company targets.
KEY CRITERIA
- You will be studying toward a relevant 3rd level education within Building/Construction Engineering with Surveying/Architectural Technology.
- You will be able to demonstrate some understanding and experience of using AutoCad.
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
- You will have a passion and desire to develop your career within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
