If you already have some experience in Early Careers or Events Management or a keen interest in developing a long term career in this area of HR and Talent Acquisition, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. Reporting to 2 Early Careers Advisors as part of the HR team of 35+, the role is varied and offers plenty of scope to get involved with all aspects of graduate recruitment as well as looking after the trainee lawyers once they join the firm through to qualification. Duties include –

  • Assisting with screening applicant CVs

  • Organising assessment centres, vacation schemes and open days virtually and in-person

  • Organising presentations, speakers and attending social events

  • Responding to queries, monitoring the Early Careers email inbox

  • Issuing offer letters and training contracts

  • Liaising with the marketing team regarding branding

  • Updating social media including Instagram and LinkedIn

  • Updating the Early Careers website

  • Working closely with the Early Careers Officers regarding strategy

  • Liaising with Trainee Lawyers regarding seat rotations

  • Manage the onboarding process for new Trainee Lawyers including inductions

  • Monitor appraisals

  • Liaising with HR and Learning & Development team

  • Ad hoc duties such as paying invoices and monitoring the team’s budget

You will need to be a graduate with excellent organisational skills and the confidence to liaise effectively with Partners, candidates, Trainee Lawyers, speakers and external bodies such as the University of Law as well as to give presentations.

You will also require competent IT skills including MS Office, social media, Instagram, LinkedIn and ideally some knowledge of or experience in utilising an Applicant Tracking System although this is not essential.
