We're looking for a Production Manager or a high-potential Production Assistant to lead and grow the production function of a premium furniture brand. Working within a bespoke manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for delivering production plans safely and efficiently to the very highest quality standards while embedding lean thinking and continuous improvement across the business. You'll champion a strong team culture and inspire a skilled, passionate workforce.

About you

  • Proven track record in a Production Manager or equivalent leadership role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Confident people leader with the ability to communicate clearly across functions and seniority levels
  • Lead, motivate, and develop your production teams to achieve consistently high standards of performance, quality, and safety
  • Plan and manage production schedules and resources to meet delivery targets on time and in full
  • Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing methodologies and efficiency initiatives
  • Ensure quality and compliance through robust SOPs, 5S practices, and ISO standards
  • Work cross-functionally with Warehouse, Purchasing, and NPD teams to support smooth production flow and new product launches
  • Oversee equipment and maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and protect output
  • Experience leading teams of 5 or more in a production or manufacturing setting
  • Background in bespoke or custom product environments desirable but not essential
  • Qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Production Management (HNC/D, degree, or equivalent)
  • Experience implementing or maintaining ISO standards across Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems
  • Experience in introducing and scaling new product lines within a manufacturing context
