This varied role combines workshop-based maintenance and repairs with customer site visits and occasional roadside assistance. You will work on vehicles operated by local authorities, emergency services and commercial fleet customers, helping to keep essential vehicles safe, compliant and on the road. Key responsibilities Service, maintain, inspect and repair a wide range of HGVs. Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults. Complete MOT preparation and preventative maintenance. Attend customer premises to carry out servicing and repairs. Respond to occasional roadside breakdowns when required. Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately. Work safely and maintain consistently high standards of workmanship. Provide professional and helpful service to customers. About you To be considered for this position, you will need: Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work. A reliable, safety-conscious and customer-focused approach. A full UK driving licence. A Class 2 (Category C) driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
